The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the EMIs Chamber of Ghana have extended their warm congratulations to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on his election as President of the Republic of Ghana.

In a statement issued by Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, CEO of both Chambers, the organisations emphasised that Mahama’s re-election marks a significant milestone for Ghana as it continues to strengthen democratic governance and drive socio-economic progress.

Recognising the president-elect’s dedication to innovation and inclusivity, the Chambers commended his vision for advancing technological growth.

“His leadership is crucial in our mission to drive digital transformation in Ghana,” the statement noted.

The Chambers expressed optimism about collaborating with the Mahama administration on key initiatives outlined in his manifesto, particularly those focused on the digital economy, communication, and innovation.

“We intensely appreciate Your Excellency for honouring the invitation of our two Chambers to deliberate on our manifestos and explore ways to build our industries. Your commitment to our mission is deeply appreciated,” Dr. Ashigbey stated.

The statement also praised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his gracious acceptance of the election results and his public congratulatory message to President-elect Mahama.

The Chambers lauded this gesture as a testament to Ghana’s strong democratic values and a shining example of political maturity.

Dr. Ashigbey further commended the citizens of Ghana for conducting peaceful and orderly elections, a hallmark of the nation’s democratic tradition. “The people of Ghana deserve immense credit for ensuring the electoral process was smooth and peaceful,” he added.

Looking ahead, the Chambers expressed their eagerness to work closely with the incoming government to cement Ghana’s position as a leader in digital inclusion, financial technology, and connectivity across Africa.

“We are optimistic about the future of our collaboration with your administration. Together, we will foster economic growth, create opportunities for Ghanaians, and build a sustainable digital ecosystem for future generations,” the statement concluded.

The message from the Chambers underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing Ghana’s digital economy and reflects the optimism shared by industry stakeholders about the nation’s developmental trajectory under the leadership of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
