Russian Ambassador presents credentials to President Mahama

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ghana, Mr Andrei Ordash, has formally presented his credentials to President John Dramani Mahama at a ceremony held in Accra on.

‎‎During the event, Ambassador Ordash also submitted the letters of recall of his predecessor, officially marking the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Ghana.

‎‎In his remarks, President Mahama highlighted the longstanding and cordial relations between Ghana and Russia, noting that the ties between the two countries date back to the period of Ghana’s independence.

‎‎He acknowledged Russia’s enduring support in the field of education, describing it as a significant contribution to Ghana’s national development over the years.

‎‎The President expressed Ghana’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Russia across a range of sectors and reaffirmed Accra’s commitment to deepening bilateral engagement.

‎‎President Mahama also underscored Ghana’s readiness to enhance dialogue with Moscow on matters relating to peace and international security.

‎The presentation of credentials marks a new chapter in diplomatic relations between Ghana and Russia, as both countries seek to expand collaboration and reinforce their longstanding partnership.
