Ghana has hosted the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Regional Committee Meeting, bringing together senior capital market executives and key financial sector stakeholders to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration and stronger market development.

‎The three-day programme featured regional committee meetings, bilateral discussions and strategic engagements with the Bank of Ghana, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) and other industry stakeholders.

‎The meeting brought together ICMA Chief Executive, Bryan Pascoe, and Director of Membership, Leslie Chan, alongside the Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, Abena Amoah, and other senior executives and industry leaders.

‎‎The engagements provided a platform for stakeholders to exchange perspectives on developments in Ghana’s capital market, share industry insights and strengthen links between the country’s financial markets and the wider international investment community.

‎‎Discussions with key institutions also provided an opportunity to explore areas for greater cooperation and support for the continued development and integration of Ghana’s capital market.

‎‎The Ghana Stock Exchange said hosting the regional meeting reinforced Ghana’s position as an important participant in the international capital market community and provided an opportunity to build stronger institutional and professional relationships.

‎‎The Exchange expressed its commitment to building on the relationships, insights and opportunities generated through the engagement to support the growth and development of Ghana’s capital market.
