The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), Mr Simon Madjie, has commended PETROSOL Platinum Energy PLC for its successful admission to the Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM) and the listing of its maiden bond issuances under a GHS 200 million bond programme.
Mr Madjie said the milestone demonstrated how Ghanaian businesses could leverage the capital market to finance growth, strengthen corporate governance and expand their investment potential.
He made the remarks as Special Guest of Honour at the GFIM Admission and Note-Listing Ceremony held at the Ghana Stock Exchange in Accra.
According to Mr Madjie, access to long-term capital remained a key challenge to private sector growth, and more Ghanaian businesses should explore the capital market as a viable financing option.
He also highlighted GIPA’s expanded mandate under the GIPA Act, 2026 (Act 1173), which includes promoting and facilitating outward investment by Ghanaian enterprises.
Mr Madjie said the Authority was committed to supporting local businesses to expand across Africa and beyond.
The ceremony underscored the growing opportunities available to Ghanaian businesses to access alternative sources of capital and position themselves for sustained growth and expansion.
