Old Mutual Ghana, a leading insurance company, has held a Broker Engagement event at the Airport View Hotel, Accra, on October 4, 2024, to show appreciation and engage with its stakeholders.

The event marked a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to fostering stronger partnerships with its brokers, who play an instrumental role in the company’s operations and client satisfaction.

It unveiled and rewarded top-performing brokers for the year, showcased the company’s strategy and vision for the coming year, and offered an opportunity for networking.

Delivering the welcome address, Mrs. Rita Boateng, the Customer Experience & Executive at Old Mutual Ghana, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the brokers, emphasising the pivotal role they have played in driving the company’s growth.

She said, “Today, we gather to celebrate and strengthen this invaluable partnership we share with you, our brokers, who have been the key drivers of our success. Your unwavering dedication, insight, and expertise are what sustain the strong relationships we have with our clients today.”

“This event is not only a moment to express our deep appreciation for your dedication to our business but also an opportunity to get to know you better, exchange ideas, and explore new ways to collaborate for our mutual success within our industry. We are truly grateful and honoured to have you on our side,” she added.

On his part, CEO of Old Mutual Ghana, Tavona Biza, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting its brokers and enhancing their ability to meet client needs. He commented: “At Old Mutual Ghana, we do not just consider you our partners, but an extension of our team. You are the link between us and our clients, and your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment are what enable us to deliver value to them.”

He stressed that the dedication and expertise of their partners have allowed for exceptional service and solutions.

“As you know, our world today is constantly evolving, and this means our business and its operations need to as well. You’d agree this presents opportunities and challenges, but partnerships like ours have made sailing the rough seas easier,” he added.

The event also featured an insightful presentation by Wisdom Donor, the Deputy Head of Distribution-Corporate, on the strategy going into next year as well as the company’s incentive scheme for high-performing brokers.

Some of the brokers who got the opportunity to join in the offshore conferences spoke about their enriching experiences during the open forum segment, as they engaged directly with the Old Mutual leadership team, providing valuable insights and discussing innovative ways to further enhance collaboration within the industry. The interactive forum served as an excellent platform to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for mutual success.

Another informative presentation was delivered by Nick Tennant, an adept broker from South Africa, who shared valuable international business insights and practical strategies for success.

Tennant remarked, “Today, multinational clients look out for smooth and efficient processes, easy access to policy documents and data, precision, and most importantly, a reliable broker they can reach 24/7 when things go wrong. It is our job to be that person if we want to delight our clients.” He added.

The event was crowned with a special appreciation and awards segment, recognising brokers who have demonstrated outstanding performance and made remarkable contributions to Old Mutual’s corporate business over the past year.

It concluded with a cocktail and networking event, allowing brokers and Old Mutual Ghana representatives to connect further and explore potential collaborations in an informal setting. Old Mutual Ghana looks forward to continued collaboration with its brokers as they work together to provide the best solutions for clients across the country.
