UNICEF and KOICA have opened applications for *Cohort 5 of the UNICEF StartUp Lab Accelerator Program designed to empower impactful startups working to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for children and young people.
The six-month accelerator program promises startups a number of things:
- Â Direct engagement with UNICEF programme experts across key sectors
- Â Industry-led training, mentorship, and hands-on support
- Access to UNICEF’s global network of Country Offices and partners
- Opportunities to engage with KOICA in Ghana
- Up to GHS75,000 in prototyping funding
- GHS150,000 scale-up funding for 3 top-performing startups
- Pathway to become a UN-recognized Digital Public Good
Participating startups will also receive guidance to align with the Sustainable Development Goals and contribute to the growing ecosystem of Digital Public Goods.
A a joint statement from KOICA and UNICEF said “Women-led startups are strongly encouraged to apply,” adding that interested startups have up to May 15, 2025 to put in their applications.
