Leading Ghanaian health tech start-up, DrDoGood, in collaboration with Father’s House Community Chapel, have provided free health screening for more than 1,000 Ghanaians in the Adentan-Madina catchment area.

The exercise, which was held at the Manmomo AstroTurf in Adentan, is part of a continued effort by DrDoGood to make healthcare more accessible and personalized for all Ghanaians.

It services provided at the event included vital checkups and early detection services with them aim of improving overall health outcomes.

The beneficiaries had access to a wide range of services, from blood pressure and glucose checks to BMI analysis and medical consultations with healthcare professionals.

The most prevailing cases discovered at the screening was diabetes, and the affected persons were provided with medication and guidance on how to manage it.

VOIP Consultation Technology

In addition to contributing to the on-ground screening efforts, DrDoGood also piloted its cutting-edge VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) consultation technology, a major step in transforming access to care in underserved communities.

The pilot initiative was specifically included to bridge the gap in post-screening care and specialist access by enabling follow-up consultations via phone or internet calls.

Consultation Credits System

To support this effort, DrDoGood also gave out a total of GHS75,000 in consultation credits to participants of the screening. The credits can be used for free virtual consultations after the outreach, ensuring that those who require further medical attention are not left behind.

A key feature of the DrDoGood consultation credit system is its AI-powered routing engine, which analyzes a patient’s profile and health concerns to match them with the next available doctor most suited to their condition. This ensures fast, efficient care that is both timely and relevant, improving the quality of follow-up consultations and reducing wait times.
