MTN Ghana has apologised to customers in parts of northern Ghana who are experiencing network service disruptions following multiple fibre cuts along key transmission routes.
In a statement, the telecommunications company said the disruptions were caused by fibre cuts on the Ho-Kpando, Sawla-Wakawaka and Fufulso-Buipe routes, affecting the delivery of network services to several communities in the northern part of the country.
MTN Ghana expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to customers and assured the public that efforts were underway to restore normal services as quickly as possible.
“Our technical teams are working diligently to restore services as quickly as possible,” the company said.
The telecom operator noted that engineers and technical personnel had been deployed to assess the damage and undertake the necessary repairs to restore connectivity.
While no timeline was provided for the full restoration of services, MTN Ghana said it would continue to keep customers informed as work progresses.
The company also thanked affected customers for their patience and understanding during the period of disruption.
Network outages resulting from fibre cuts have become a recurring challenge for telecommunications providers, often affecting voice, data and digital services relied upon by businesses and individuals across the country.
MTN Ghana said it remains committed to restoring services promptly and minimising the impact on customers.
