MTN Ghana has apologised to customers in parts of northern Ghana who are experiencing network service disruptions following multiple fibre cuts along key transmission routes.

‎‎In a statement, the telecommunications company said the disruptions were caused by fibre cuts on the Ho-Kpando, Sawla-Wakawaka and Fufulso-Buipe routes, affecting the delivery of network services to several communities in the northern part of the country.

‎‎MTN Ghana expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to customers and assured the public that efforts were underway to restore normal services as quickly as possible.

‎“Our technical teams are working diligently to restore services as quickly as possible,” the company said.

‎‎The telecom operator noted that engineers and technical personnel had been deployed to assess the damage and undertake the necessary repairs to restore connectivity.

‎‎While no timeline was provided for the full restoration of services, MTN Ghana said it would continue to keep customers informed as work progresses.

‎‎The company also thanked affected customers for their patience and understanding during the period of disruption.

‎‎Network outages resulting from fibre cuts have become a recurring challenge for telecommunications providers, often affecting voice, data and digital services relied upon by businesses and individuals across the country.

‎‎MTN Ghana said it remains committed to restoring services promptly and minimising the impact on customers.
