
Tahir Field Recycling has emerged as the winner of the Accra edition of the MTN Ghana SME Accelerate Business Pitch Challenge 2026, securing the top prize after impressing judges with its innovative and scalable business model.
The competition forms part of MTN Ghana’s broader SME Accelerate 2026 programme, an initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through funding, mentorship, business training and digital transformation.
The challenge seeks to identify high-potential Ghanaian businesses capab
le of scaling their operations while embracing digital solutions.
Participants are assessed on innovation, feasibility, market potential, business impact, scalability and the overall quality of their presentations.
Edible Treat finished as the first runner-up, while Dyluri Beauty placed third. Tropical Snacks secured fourth position, followed by Manehlla Foods in fifth place. Haus of Lush came sixth, Bubune Africa Ltd finished seventh, Ahwenepa Cookery placed eighth, 1010 Foodie came ninth, and Lebenam Skins rounded off the top 10.
Beyond the cash prize, winners of recent MTN Business Pitch Challenges have received GH¢30,000 in funding, mentorship, business performance monitoring and access to MTN’s business support ecosystem to help accelerate growth.
The SME Accelerate programme is one of MTN Ghana’s flagship initiatives aimed at empowering entrepreneurs by equipping them with the financial resources, skills and digital tools needed to build resilient and competitive businesses.
The 2026 edition has already produced notable winners across the country. Nolap Technologies won the AshantiFest MTN Business Pitch Challenge, receiving GH¢30,000 to support its expansion, while Namawu Nasara Yahaya Iddi claimed the top prize at the MTN Business Pitch Competition held during the National Women’s Summit, also taking home GH¢30,000.
Through the SME Accelerate programme, MTN Ghana continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting entrepreneurship, fostering innovation and contributing to the growth of Ghana’s SME sector, which remains a key driver of the country’s economic development.
