Dr Zenator Agyemang-Rawlings, MP for Korle Klottey and Second Vice President of Pan-African Parliament

Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey and Second Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings (MP), presided over the first ordinary session of the seventh parliament after the President of the Pan-African Parliament was granted leave by the House.

Taking the Chair, Dr Agyeman-Rawlings assured delegates from across Africa that the Parliament would continue to discharge its mandate in full compliance with its rules of procedure.

‎‎She reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to addressing all matters before the House in a transparent, orderly and impartial manner, stressing that parliamentary business would proceed without hindrance.

‎‎Dr Agyeman-Rawlings also underscored the Parliament’s determination to uphold its legislative and oversight responsibilities, declaring that the House would not be “gagged” in carrying out its constitutional mandate.

‎‎Her remarks reaffirmed the Pan-African Parliament’s commitment to promoting accountability, democratic governance and effective representation in advancing the interests of the people of Africa.
