Amazon.com has paused operations with 21Air following a deadly cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport that killed five people.
The company said that it made the decision after supporting the investigation into the incident and reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash.
“After the tragic incident last weekend, we’ve spent time supporting the investigation and reviewing some of the surrounding circumstances, and we’ve decided to pause our operations with 21 Air,” Amazon said in a blog post.
“We’ll continue working to support the investigation and everyone affected,” the company added.
The Amazon Prime Air cargo flight, operated by 21Air, overran a runway while landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday.
Prime Air Flight 7598 subsequently crashed and struck multiple vehicles on the ground, killing five people and injuring another five.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident, while Amazon said it was also gathering details on what happened.
Amazon’s decision to pause operations with 21Air comes as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
