Apple has announced a plethora of new hardware, software and subscription services at their September 2020 event themed “Time Flies”.
In hardware devices include Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, Apple iPad eight generation and the new Apple iPad Air.
Apple Watch
Apple unveiled its latest flagship watch as the Apple Watch Series 6 with a starting price of $399.
The watch introduced the new blue or red aluminum case and it also comes in gold stainless steel finish or a new gray black stainless-steel finish called Graphite, together with the traditional Apple Watch case materials and colors.
The new Series 6 also comes with a new health sensor that enables the user measure their blood oxygen level in 15 seconds. The new Series 6 comes with the new sixth generation system-in-package that includes an optimized dual core processor based on the A13 Bionic processor found in the iPhone 11 that promises 20% more performance when compared to the Apple Watch Series 5.
Apple Watch SE
Apple also announced the Apple Watch SE, which is a new model that combines the design of the Apple Watch Series 6 with the most essential features of Apple Watch at a more affordable price.
The difference between the Series 6 and SE is the omission of the always-on display, ECG and blood oxygen sensor.
The tech giant also introduced a new watch band known as the Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop, which does not come with a clasp or buckle like traditional straps, as it is one continuous piece made from custom liquid silicon whiles the Braided Solo Loop is made from recycled a hundred percent recycled yarn that is meticulously braided with thin silicon threads.
The Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop allows the user to slide it on or off their hands because it is stretchable, it is available in a range of sizes to allow users to find their most comfortable fit.
It also comes in seven color variants and the Braided Solo Loop comes in five color variants.
