Ascend Digital Solutions, a leading digital economy enabler, walked away with four laurels from two prestigious industry awards over the weekend.
The first was the 13th Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA) 2024, where Ascend was adjudged Public Sector Technology Provider of the Year and its visionary CEO, Harkirit Singh won the Telecom Personality of the Year.
Then at the Premier Marketing Leadership Awards, Ascend’s marketing team, led by Thomas Brien, emerged as the Outstanding Marketing Team of the Year, while Brien himself was honoured as the Marketing Personality of the Year (Information Technology.
The GITTA award – Public Sector Technology Provider of the Year – was in recognition of Ascend’s dedication to transforming public services through innovative technology.
Ascend is a leader in the delivery of rural telephony in Ghana, a the main contractor for Ghana’s eTransform project.
In a statement, the company said, “Our initiatives, such as the Rural Telephony Programme, are making a significant impact by delivering voice and data services to millions of Ghanaians in rural Ghana, while our eTransform project is paving the way for digital innovation in public service delivery.”
It said the award is therefore a motivation for the company to continue breaking new ground and driving digital transformation across Africa.

The winning streak for Ascend continued on June 8th, 2024, at the Premier Marketing Leadership Awards, where Thomas Brien, Ascend’s Head of Marketing, was lauded as the Marketing Professional of the Year (Information Technology), a testament to his innovative marketing strategies and significant role in positioning Ascend as a formidable brand in the IT sector.
The Ascend Digital Solutions Ltd. marketing team was also recognized as Outstanding Marketing Team of the Year. This award celebrates the team’s exceptional efforts in brand building and promoting Ascend’s digital transformation agenda.
