GIPA strengthens regional investment drive with Bono East stakeholder engagement

The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) has intensified efforts to attract investment into the Bono East Region through a series of high-level stakeholder engagements as part of its Regional Roadshow.

A GIPA delegation, led by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Abdul Razak Baba, paid separate courtesy calls on the Bono East Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, and the Queen Mother of the Goaso Traditional Area, Nana Afia Serwaa, to discuss strategies for promoting investment and economic growth in the region.

‎‎During the engagements, Mr Abdul Razak outlined GIPA’s commitment to showcasing the region’s investment opportunities and ensuring that investment flows beyond Ghana’s major urban centres to support balanced regional development.

‎He said the Authority’s Regional Roadshow is intended to unlock the economic potential of regions across the country by attracting investors to sectors with strong growth prospects.

‎The minister welcomed the initiative and commended GIPA for prioritising regional investment promotion. She noted that increased investment would stimulate local businesses, create employment opportunities for young people and contribute to the region’s socio-economic development.

‎The Queen Mother of the Goaso Traditional Area, Nana Afia Serwaa, also expressed support for the initiative, stressing that the growth of local businesses is essential to addressing youth unemployment and improving livelihoods within the region.

‎‎The meetings concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration between GIPA, the Regional Coordinating Council and traditional authorities to attract investment and advance the Bono East Region’s economic development.
