The Jospong Group of Companies has made a giant leap in leveraging technology for business growth by training a significant number of its staff in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This strategic move by Jospong, marks significant milestone in its innovation and business development drive, as it positions AI as the key driver for research, development, and the optimization of its business processes across Africa.

The AI training program, dubbed the AiAfrica Project, is an initiative of the Vanuatu Trade Commission to Ghana, proudly sponsored by the African Diaspora Central Bank, with the aim to advance AI-driven solutions for sustainable growth in Africa.

The target is to train 11 million Africans in AI for various uses, with particular focus on improving business operations and financial inclusion across the continent.

In Ghana, the project has so far trained about 30,000 individuals, with Jospong being the first large private sector company to take advantage of the project, with 400 to 600 managers already trained.

The training initiative was led by Dr. David King Boison, a Maritime and Port Expert, under whose guidance, the AiAfrica team provided the Jospong staff with cutting-edge AI expertise.

As part of this ground-breaking program, Jospong will also establish an Artificial Intelligence Department and Research Centre to spearhead AI-driven operations and solutions across the continent.

By leveraging AI, the Josponng Group also aims to improve its operational efficiency, reduce cost, and better serve its stakeholders across 19 countries, covering 17 industries with 82 subsidiaries.

The company is also expected to make a significant contribution to Ghana’s 24-hour economy policy by improving operational efficiency through the use of AI.
