MTN MobileMoney Limited has launched a consumer reward promo dubbed “Me Nsa Aka” to drive adoption of the MoMo App and also reward loyal customers with daily, weekly, and monthly prizes, including a GHC100,000 grand prize.
The promo will run from September 15 to December 15, 2025, under the theme “One MoMo App, Endless Rewards.” It aims to encourage customers to transition from traditional USSD (short code) services to MTN’s digital channels.
Customers who transact via the MoMo App—whether sending money, paying bills, accessing loans, or purchasing insurance—will qualify for multiple rewards.
Acting CEO of MTN MoMo, Charles Asamoah Boateng noted that promo was introduced in recognition of the fact that “the future is digital, and every transaction counts,” saying that MoMo has evolved from a money transfer service into a complete digital financial platform.
“Today, millions of Ghanaians use MTN MoMo not only to send and receive money but also to pay bills, shop, save, and invest in insurance,” he said.
He emphasised that the promo is “not just about prizes” but about “building trust, driving adoption of the MoMo App, and making digital finance part of everyday life.”
Highlighting the app’s advantages, he noted that features like biometric login, wallet management, and broader financial services make it a secure, convenient option. He urged customers, “Download the MoMo App, transact with it, and be rewarded.”
Mr Boateng further stressed the importance of partnerships with banks, Fintechs, insurance firms, payment providers, and the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), adding that MoMo creates a level playing field for partners while driving financial inclusion, especially for women and underserved communities.
On customer safety, he reminded users to observe MoMo’s three golden rules:
- Never share your PIN.
- Never allow others to transact on your behalf.
- Never discuss your wallet with strangers.
Meanwhile, the National Lottery Authority (NLA) has endorsed the promo. Priscilla Akuamoah, an Accounts Executive at the NLA, said the initiative adheres to Act 722 and is both transparent and socially impactful.

She revealed that proceeds will support the Good Causes Foundation, which funds community projects across Ghana.
Concluding, Mr Boateng said, “The future of MoMo is bright. Together with our partners, we are shaping Ghana’s digital financial ecosystem and ensuring every customer has access to convenient and rewarding financial tools.”
