Adetola Onayemi, CEO and co-founder of Norebase, has highlighted the need for stronger security measures and consistency as digital payment systems and money movement continue to evolve.
Speaking during a panel discussion at the Loveworld Trade and Investment Forum (LTIF) in Accra, Mr Onayemi said changes in the financial ecosystem require users to have access to appropriate wallets and comply with emerging processes for moving money.
He noted that security had become an important consideration as more people gained easier access to financial systems.
Mr Onayemi raised questions about how security could be strengthened within the evolving system and what the implications of such measures would be for countries.
He also pointed to the changing dynamics surrounding digital financial transactions, stressing the need to understand how the emerging systems could be effectively managed.
The discussion formed part of the LTIF, which brought participants together to examine issues surrounding trade, investment and innovation.
