Salesforce and Google Cloud have expanded their strategic partnership, with Salesforce set to run selected products natively on Google Cloud infrastructure while connecting their AI agent platforms to shared data.
Under the expanded agreement, Salesforce will begin migrating selected US customers to Google Cloud through its Hyperforce architecture in the fourth quarter. The move will give customers access to Google Cloud’s infrastructure, data services and Gemini Enterprise.
Following general availability in North America, Salesforce expects to begin a phased regional expansion in 2027.
Meir Amiel, Salesforce’s president and chief trust and infrastructure officer, said the arrangement would change the infrastructure supporting customers without changing the trust they have built with Salesforce.
He said Hyperforce running natively on Google Cloud would maintain Salesforce’s existing security, compliance and resilience standards.
The partnership also deepens the integration between the companies’ AI platforms. Google Cloud is among the first hyperscalers to implement Salesforce’s headless architecture, which is built on the open Model Context Protocol standard.
The integration allows Gemini Enterprise to access Salesforce data directly without custom integration. This will support tasks such as pipeline health checks, account summaries and case triage across sales, service, finance and advertising workflows.
The companies are also expanding the partnership across analytics and commerce.
Gemini Enterprise can now query Tableau analytics directly, with governance, row-level security and semantic models enforced on every request.
Through integration with the Universal Commerce Protocol, merchants using Salesforce Commerce Cloud will be able to highlight and sell products within Google Search and the Gemini app while retaining their existing payment and order management infrastructure.
Salesforce Data 360 and Google BigQuery are also expanding their integration across more regions through Zero Copy data sharing. The companies are adopting the Iceberg Rest Catalogue open standard as part of the expansion.
Salesforce and Google Cloud said they are exploring additional capabilities, including bidirectional semantic data sharing.
