Fifteen (15) global technology industry giants are set to launch the Trusted Tech Alliance (TTA), a move intended to strengthen global confidence in technology and support responsible innovation.
The technology heavyweight in this all important alliance include Ericsson, Nokia, Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Service, Cassava Technologies and Jio Platforms among others.
TTA is built on a shared commitment to transparency, security and data protection, regardless of where technologies are developed or deployed.
The consortium aims to address growing concerns about digital technologies, the pace of innovation and the need for resilient, reliable global infrastructure.
Other founding members are Anthropic, Cohere, Hanwha, Nscale, NTT, Rapidus, Saab and SAP.
TTA members offer services and products across connectivity, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, software and AI.
Its five founding principles call for transparent corporate governance and ethical conduct; operational transparency, secure development and independent assessment; robust supply chain and security oversight; an open, cooperative, inclusive and resilient digital ecosystem; and respect for the rule of law and data protection.
The companies stated they will hold their suppliers “to strong global security standards and support a digital environment that is open, cooperative and encourages innovation”.
Ericsson CEO Borje Ekholm stated “no single company or a country can build a secure and trusted digital stack alone,” and that “trust and security can only be achieved together” as key factors behind forming the alliance.
Microsoft president Brad Smith explained “in the current geopolitical environment, it is critical that like-minded companies work together to protect security and advance high global standards to preserve trust in technology across borders”.
