The Ghana Health Service reports that 41,432 persons have recovered, while 261 have died so far.

Meanwhile globally, the situation is getting worse by the day, as World Health Organization (WHO) reports that Globally, as of 23 August, 2020, there have been 23,057,288 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 800,906 deaths.
Africa is the fifth worst hit region of the world, with 1,000,379 confirmed case.Â
The Americas, particularly the United States of America, remain the number worst hit zone with 12,283,953 confirmed cases, followed by Europe with 3,970,890 confirmed cases, South-Eastern Asia with 3,533,807 confirmed cases then Eastern Mediterranean with 1,816,207 cases, and Western Pacific being the least hit region with 451,311 cases.
