The Director-General of Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID), COP Faustina Andoh-Kwofie, has filed a lawsuit against the National Investment Bank (NIB) for alleged irregularities in her late husband’s bank accounts.

She is accusing bank officials of manipulating the balances on accounts belonging to her late husband COP Stephen Andoh-Kwofie, who died nine years ago in 2015.

‎In her statement of claim, COP Faustina Andoh-Kwofie said her late husband informed her, as the administrator of his estate, about significant deposits he made into accounts belonging to him and his company, ANEBONA.

‎According to her, when she requested for statements for the said accounts, she discovered substantial discrepancies. The accounts in question included  5012002254901-USD-ANEBODA and 5012002254902-GBP-ANEBODA, both of which had significantly lower balances than she expected.

‎COP Faustina Andoh-Kwofie said she has made multiple requests to the bank for a detailed transaction breakdown but the bank has failed to comply.

She is therefore seeking a court order compelling NIB to provide complete and accurate account statements from December 1, 2014, to the present date, along with general damages and legal costs.

Meanwhile, NIB has duly been served and the bank has acknowledged receipt of the writ and their legal department is handling it.
