Nokia has agreed to sell its Enterprise Campus Edge (ECE) business to investment company Aurelius Group as part of efforts to sharpen its portfolio and focus capital on areas expected to deliver long-term value.
The Finnish telecommunications vendor said the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Under Aurelius’ ownership, ECE will continue operating as a standalone business, with greater independence and a dedicated strategic focus. Nokia said employees are expected to transfer with the business in accordance with applicable local laws and processes.
ECE has a presence in the private wireless market, serving almost 900 customers worldwide across industries including manufacturing, mining, logistics, airports, ports and power generation.
Its portfolio includes industrial devices, on-premises operational technology, edge and micro-edge solutions, as well as software applications designed to support industrial artificial intelligence (AI) use cases.
Konstanty Owczarek, Nokia’s chief corporate development officer, said the agreement would provide ECE with a strong foundation for growth.
“Our priority throughout the transition will be continued growth of the business and continuity for existing customers and employees,” he added.
The planned divestment follows another portfolio adjustment by Nokia this month, when it completed the sale of its fixed wireless access (FWA) customer premises equipment (CPE) business to US broadband vendor Inseego.
