BT Business has launched a managed security service designed to strengthen protection against AI-enhanced cyberattacks for enterprises and public sector organisations, in partnership with Microsoft.
The new Security Operations Centre-as-a-Service (SOCaaS), built on the Microsoft Sentinel platform, combines Microsoft’s security technology with BT’s cyber expertise, threat intelligence, network operations and security capabilities.
BT said the service would help organisations simplify security operations, control costs and improve their ability to detect and respond to threats while strengthening their overall resilience.
The launch builds on an extended partnership between BT and Microsoft covering artificial intelligence (AI), security and cloud services.
BT Business chief executive Jon James said the growing use of AI was transforming the cyber threat landscape and increasing the need for more proactive protection.
“AI is transforming the cyber threat landscape at unprecedented speed, and our customers need protection that stays one step ahead,” he said.
“By extending our partnership with Microsoft, we’re combining cutting-edge security technology with BT’s cyber expertise and threat intelligence to deliver stronger, more proactive protection”.
BT said the service was designed to address the growing need for stronger cybersecurity as attack timelines accelerate in the AI era.
The launch is the latest in a series of enterprise-focused offerings from BT aimed at helping UK organisations combat rising cybercrime.
In May, the company unveiled what it described as industrial-grade security products for small and medium-sized businesses, using technology from cybersecurity specialist CrowdStrike.
