The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has engaged key stakeholders under its Nationwide Letter of Commitment (LOC) Sensitisation Programme to promote compliance, improve trade facilitation and strengthen the management of Ghana’s export proceeds.

‎‎Addressing participants in Accra, the Second Deputy Governor, Mrs Matilda Asante-Asiedu, emphasised the need for an effective LOC regime that supports legitimate trade while ensuring transparency and efficiency.

‎‎“An effective LOC regime should not hinder legitimate trade; rather, it should create a transparent, predictable, and efficient environment that supports exporters,” she said.

‎‎The programme seeks to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, improve operational efficiency and safeguard the country’s foreign exchange resources.

‎‎Through the sensitisation programme, the Bank aims to promote compliance with the LOC framework while supporting a trade environment that enables exporters to conduct legitimate business efficiently.
