Adobe has expanded its partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and government-backed artificial intelligence firm Humain to provide more than 27 million eligible Saudi citizens and residents with one year of free access to its AI-powered tools.
The software company said the initiative will provide complimentary access to its Adobe Firefly Standard subscription tier and Adobe Express Premium features. Adobe values the commitment at more than $4 billion.
The offering will also include a new image generation model designed to reflect Saudi culture. The model was jointly developed by Adobe and Humain, which is backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.
Users will be able to create culturally appropriate images using Arabic-language prompts, according to Adobe.
The free access is expected to begin rolling out by the end of 2026.
Adobe and Humain initially announced their partnership in November, with a focus on supporting Humain’s development of Arabic-language content generation tools for Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
The expanded partnership is expected to help Adobe increase its user base for AI products and tools as the company competes in a design software industry where smaller companies have been rapidly gaining market share.
