The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George will lead Ghana’s delegation to the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, with a focus on showcasing the country’s Information Communication and Technology (ICT) achievements.
A sub-planning committee has been established to oversee preparations for the Expo and sector agencies have been working together to develop exhibition content that highlights Ghana’s ICT sector and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Sam George, who chaired a meeting with the team yesterday emphasized the importance of showcasing Ghana’s ICT achievements and future vision at the World Expo 2025.
“We are committed to promoting Ghana’s digital innovation agenda and highlight our country’s potential in the ICT sector. Our goal is to make Ghana a hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa”.
According to him, the Ministry is seeking to collaborate with the private sector to ensure a comprehensive and impactful representation of Ghana’s ICT potential.
The Minister said “We believe that the private sector has a critical role to play in showcasing Ghana’s ICT innovations and contributing to the success of our participation in the World Expo 2025”.
He indicated “We look to working with our private sector partners to make Ghana’s participation in the Expo a success”.
The World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, is expected to be a major platform for Ghana to showcase its ICT achievements and attract investment and partnerships. With careful planning and collaboration between the government and private sector.
