Ghana’s growing influence in cybersecurity governance and digital resilience was prominently highlighted at the CAISEC 2026 Conference in Cairo, Egypt, where the Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Divine Selase Agbeti, played a leading role in shaping discussions on the future of cybersecurity across Africa.
‎‎Mr Agbeti, who also serves as Chair of the African Network of Cybersecurity Authorities (ANCA), delivered a keynote address during the conference, emphasising the urgent need for stronger regional collaboration, increased investment in cybersecurity capabilities, and coordinated responses to the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape on the continent.
‎Addressing policymakers, industry leaders and cybersecurity experts from across Africa and the Arab world, he underscored the importance of collective action in safeguarding critical digital infrastructure and strengthening cyber resilience amid growing digital transformation efforts.
‎‎As part of his engagements at the conference, Mr Agbeti presided over the inaugural Arab-Africa Cybersecurity Roundtable, a landmark platform designed to foster closer cooperation between African and Arab nations in addressing shared cybersecurity challenges and opportunities.
‎‎The roundtable brought together key stakeholders to explore avenues for knowledge exchange, capacity building, policy harmonisation and enhanced cross-border cooperation in tackling cybercrime and emerging digital threats.

‎‎In recognition of his outstanding contribution to cybersecurity development, Mr Agbeti was presented with a Special Achievement Award at the conference.
‎The award acknowledged his leadership in advancing cybersecurity policy, strengthening institutional resilience, promoting capacity-building initiatives and fostering international cooperation within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
‎The recognition further reinforces Ghana’s growing reputation as a leading voice in cybersecurity governance and digital security on the African continent.
