Officials from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have engaged the Ministry of Health to explore areas of collaboration aimed at reducing maternal mortality in Ghana.
Led by Country Director Mr Dong Wan Woo, the KOICA delegation paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Health, Prof Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah, as part of efforts to support Ghana’s Maternal Mortality Action and Response Programme (MMARP).
The engagement focused on strategies to strengthen maternal healthcare services, address preventable maternal deaths and improve health outcomes for mothers across the country.
The discussions provided a platform for KOICA and the Ministry of Health to identify areas where collaboration could support ongoing efforts to improve maternal healthcare and reduce avoidable deaths.
The engagement forms part of broader efforts to strengthen Ghana’s response to maternal mortality through improved healthcare services and targeted interventions under MMARP.
