Micron Technology has promoted two senior executives to newly created president-level positions as the semiconductor company strengthens its leadership structure.
Manish Bhatia has been appointed president and chief operating officer, with responsibility for Micron’s global operations, business units, capital investment, manufacturing, as well as customer demand, pricing and delivery.
Bhatia joined Micron in 2017 and previously oversaw manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and other operational functions.
Scott DeBoer has been named president and chief technology and products officer. He will oversee Micron’s memory and storage product roadmap, customer innovation and Micron Research Labs.
DeBoer joined the company in 1995 and has led the development of 15 technology nodes during his tenure.
Meanwhile, Sumit Sadana, formerly Micron’s executive vice president and chief business officer, has moved to a senior adviser role reporting to Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Mehrotra.
Commenting on the appointments, Mehrotra said Bhatia and DeBoer had made significant contributions to Micron’s growth, technology leadership and operational performance.
He expressed confidence in their ability to help guide the company through its next phase of innovation and value creation.
Mehrotra also recognised Sadana’s contribution during his tenure, noting that he had strengthened customer partnerships and helped shape the strategy that positioned Micron for the artificial intelligence era.
