LG Electronics has reaffirmed the importance of Ghana as one of its key markets in West Africa, as the company expands its range of quality and affordable home appliances for consumers.
The company said the move forms part of efforts to provide Ghanaian customers with more choices while helping dealers and business partners better understand its products and communicate their features to consumers.
Speaking during an engagement with dealers and partners, Lerry Wang, Regional General Manager, Giant-Tek Limited, Ghana, said Ghana remained an important market for the company and that LG was focused on bringing products that combine quality with affordability.
“Ghana is very important for LG, and it is one of LG’s most important markets across West Africa,” he said.
Mr Wang said the engagement was intended to equip its dealers and partners with better knowledge of LG products so they could effectively communicate the benefits and features to customers.
LG, a global brand from South Korea, said it had operated in Africa and Ghana for decades, building its reputation around quality and a high standard of living.
Mr Wang noted that while LG had traditionally been associated with quality and its “Life’s Good” identity, changing market conditions had prompted the company to broaden its offerings and respond to evolving consumer needs.
“The market changed, and LG, we want to explore more in this market, and we want to bring more choice to customers in Ghana,” Mr Wang added.
As part of the expanded offering, LG is introducing products including bottom-freezer and French-door refrigerators, as well as washing machines with enhanced functionality.
He added that the products were intended to provide Ghanaian consumers with greater choice and improved everyday experiences.
“I hope with these products, more and more people can enjoy LG products and can improve their level of life,” he said.
