LG Electronics has highlighted its focus on developing products tailored to Ghana’s climate conditions while using energy-efficient technologies to meet the needs of consumers in the country.
Speaking during an interview, Hari Elluru, LG Representative at Giant-Tek Limited, Ghana, said the company has established a strong presence in Ghana and remains focused on delivering products designed to suit local market conditions.
According to him, Ghana’s varying weather conditions, including humid and hot periods, have been considered in the development of LG products for the market.
“Ghana is sometimes humid and sometimes hot. But all the products which we made are tailor-made to Ghana. It perfectly fits for the Ghana climate conditions,” he said.
Mr Elluru acknowledged the competitiveness of the Ghanaian market, particularly with the presence of imported products, but said technology, product features and pricing were key factors in determining competitiveness.
“It’s a very competitive market. Whoever has the technology, whoever comes with the best price, they will be the winner,” he said.
He added that LG’s approach was centred on providing advanced technology, useful features and products designed specifically for Ghanaian consumers.
“We have the best technology, we have the best features, and we have the products that fit exactly for Ghana customers,” he said.
Mr Elluru also pointed to the company’s focus on environmental sustainability, particularly through the use of inverter compressors in its products.
He explained that inverter compressors are designed to consume less energy while delivering maximum output.
“All our products are environmentally friendly. We come with inverter compressors. These inverter compressors consume less energy and use maximum output,” he said.
According to him, lower energy consumption also contributes to making the products more climate-friendly, reinforcing LG’s focus on energy efficiency in its appliances.
