MTN Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to building the digital infrastructure required to support Ghana’s growing digital economy, positioning its MTN Home business as a key driver of the country’s digital transformation.

‎‎Speaking during a stakeholder engagement, the Chief Home Officer of MTN Ghana, Richard Acheampong, said the company views its investment in fibre broadband as part of a broader strategy to create the infrastructure that will enable individuals, businesses and communities to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

‎‎According to Mr Acheampong, MTN Home’s ambition extends beyond the deployment of fibre-optic networks. He said the company is focused on developing the critical digital infrastructure needed to support Ghana’s long-term economic growth and digital inclusion agenda.

‎”We do not see ourselves as merely deploying fibre-optic cables. Our vision goes far beyond providing connectivity. We are committed to building the critical digital infrastructure that will empower individuals, businesses and communities to fully participate in Ghana’s rapidly evolving digital economy,” he said.

‎He explained that the engagement was intended to provide stakeholders with a clearer understanding of MTN Home’s vision, the progress made so far, and the company’s plans to expand digital connectivity across the country.

‎Mr Acheampong noted that reliable digital infrastructure is essential for supporting innovation, improving access to digital services and enabling businesses to compete in an increasingly technology-driven economy.

‎He added that through MTN Home, the company aims to help create a digitally connected Ghana where households, enterprises and communities can take advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital age.

‎‎The initiative forms part of MTN Ghana’s broader commitment to advancing digital inclusion and supporting the country’s digital transformation agenda through continued investment in high-quality connectivity and digital infrastructure.
