Samsung has launched its new US$600 Galaxy A71 5G in the US and can be found at T-Mobile, Sprint and Samsung shops across that country.
The low-cost 5G phone will also become available at AT&T and Verizon later this summer. It’s priced at $600 and comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display.
Whereas Samsung is describing the Galaxy A71 as an affordable phone at US$600 in the US, at that price in Ghana, it converts to almost GHC4,000, which is the prices for very high-end phone in Ghana.
It would therefore be expected that the phone will really be made affordable, in the real sense of the word, within the Ghanaian context, when it comes to Ghana later.
Meanwhile, Samsung also has six phones in its new A-series: Four 4G phones and two 5G phones. The Galaxy A01 base model is priced at just $110. There’s also a 4G version of the A71, and 4G and 5G models of the A51.
