The International Programmes Office of the University of Ghana has hosted the Kenyan High Commissioner to Ghana on a courtesy visit to the Dean, as part of efforts to deepen academic cooperation between the two countries.
The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss ways of strengthening relations between Kenyan higher education institutions and the University of Ghana. The engagement focused on fostering closer collaboration in teaching, research and institutional development.
Key among the issues discussed were opportunities for academic partnerships, student exchange programmes and increased mobility for both students and staff. The discussions also explored avenues for establishing formal collaborations that would enhance knowledge sharing and promote cross-cultural learning experiences.
Officials noted that strengthening ties between universities in Ghana and Kenya would contribute to advancing higher education across Africa by encouraging innovation, research excellence and regional cooperation.
The courtesy call reflects the University of Ghana’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships and creating opportunities for students and faculty to engage with institutions across the continent and beyond.
The meeting ended with a shared commitment to pursuing mutually beneficial partnerships aimed at enhancing academic excellence and strengthening educational links between Ghana and Kenya.
