Ghanaian YouTube personality, vlogger and digital media influencer Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, popularly known as Wodemaya, has been honoured with a Special Presidential Pin by Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. in recognition of his efforts to promote Liberia’s culture, tourism and positive image.
‎‎The award acknowledges Wodemaya’s contribution to showcasing the country’s beauty, cultural heritage and opportunities through his digital content, which has reached millions of viewers across Africa and beyond.
‎Reacting to the honour, Wodemaya described the recognition as a deeply humbling moment, saying it would strengthen his commitment to telling Africa’s stories from an authentic perspective.
‎‎He expressed gratitude to President Boakai for the recognition, noting that it reaffirmed the importance of using digital media to highlight the continent’s achievements and potential.
‎‎According to the Ghanaian content creator, the honour has inspired him to continue promoting the people, cultures and opportunities that make Africa unique while encouraging a more positive global perception of the continent.
‎‎Wodemaya also thanked President Boakai for what he described as a meaningful honour and reaffirmed his dedication to championing Africa through storytelling.
