Jordanian delegation meets Interior Minister to strengthen security cooperation

A high-level delegation from Jordan has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, as part of efforts to deepen bilateral relations and explore opportunities for enhanced security cooperation between the two countries.

‎‎The delegation was led by Mr Mo’ath Alzo’bi, Director of Political Affairs at the Office of His Royal Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.

‎During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues aimed at strengthening ties and fostering closer collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

‎‎Particular attention was given to security-related matters, with both parties underscoring the importance of international cooperation in addressing emerging threats.

‎Key areas of discussion included counterterrorism initiatives, intelligence sharing and capacity building for security agencies. The engagements highlighted the shared commitment of Ghana and Jordan to promoting peace, stability and security within their respective regions and beyond.

‎The Minister welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening relations with Jordan. He noted that enhanced cooperation between the two countries could contribute significantly to improving security outcomes and building institutional resilience.

‎‎Mr Alzo’bi, on behalf of the Jordanian delegation, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and emphasised Jordan’s readiness to deepen collaboration with Ghana across strategic sectors, particularly in the field of security.

‎‎The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by both nations to expand diplomatic engagement and strengthen partnerships that support national development and regional stability.

‎Officials from both sides expressed optimism that the discussions would pave the way for increased cooperation and the implementation of initiatives that would benefit the people of Ghana and Jordan.
