Deputy Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mohammed Adam Sukparu, has stressed the need to protect citizens, their livelihoods and investments as Ghana advances its digital transformation agenda.
Mr Sukparu made the call on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, when he represented the sector Minister, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, MP, as keynote speaker at the launch of the 2026 National Cybersecurity Awareness Month at the CalBank Headquarters in Accra.
The launch was held under the theme, “Securing Ghana’s Digital Finance Ecosystem: Building Trust Through Collaboration and Cyber Resilience.”
Mr Sukparu emphasised the need to protect Ghanaians as the country advances its digital transformation agenda under HE John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda.
He said digitalisation must not only create opportunities but must also protect people, their livelihoods and their investments.
“Digitalisation must not only create opportunities; it must also protect the people, their livelihoods and their investments,” he said.
Mr Sukparu said the government was committed to building a Ghana where citizens could transact digitally with confidence and where innovation could thrive in a secure environment.
He further said securing Ghana’s digital future was an essential part of the Reset Agenda.
“The Reset Agenda is about transforming Ghana—and securing our digital future is an essential part of that transformation,” he said.
