‎‎The agreements focus on the establishment of a Joint Commission for Cooperation in Trade and Economic Affairs, enhanced collaboration between the chambers of commerce of the two countries, and cooperation in the agricultural sector.

‎‎The MoUs were signed on behalf of Ghana by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa; Ghana’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Jehu Appiah; and the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku.

‎‎The agreements underscore the commitment of both nations to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation. They are expected to facilitate increased trade, promote private sector partnerships and support collaboration in agriculture, and other strategic areas of development.

‎‎President Mahama’s visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ghanaian government to broaden international partnerships, attract investment and create opportunities for sustainable economic growth.

‎Officials from both countries expressed optimism that the newly signed agreements would provide a framework for deeper engagement and deliver tangible benefits to their respective economies and peoples.
