Apple has recently launched a new app called “Invites”, which allows users to create event invitations directly from their iPhone or web browser, and it’s free to download and RSVP without an Apple account.

‎To create invitations, you need an iCloud+ subscription, which is bundled into Apple’s premium Apple One plans or paid separately at $0.99 per month. It provides extra storage, a custom email domain, and Private Relay features.

What is it?

‎Apple’s effort to provide a service similar to Partiful or Evite for event planning and invitation creation is called Apple Invites. In addition to integrating with other Apple services, such as shared albums from Apple Photos and collaborative playlists from Apple Music, the app allows you to host events and send out RSVPs. If you prefer to employ AI to generate a picture for your invite instead of depending on one of your own photographs or Apple’s built-in selections, invites also enable Picture Playground.

How to use Apple Invites to make an invitation for an event?

‎You must visit the iCloud website or have the Invites app loaded on an iPhone running iOS 18 or later in order to generate an event invitation using Apple Invites. Additionally, you’ll need an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence (an iPhone 15 Pro and up) in order to benefit from Invites’ integration with the feature.

‎Open the Apple Invites app first, then create your event. After that, hit “Create an Event” if you’ve never used the app before, or the tiny “+” in the top right corner of your screen if you’ve already created or received invitations to events. After then, the invite screen ought to be blank.

‎From here, tap on “Add Background” and choose from Apple’s pre-made backgrounds (emoji, photographic, and colour options), or tap one of the circular buttons at the top of the screen to create an Image Playground, a new photo, or a picture from your photo library.

‎To title an event, select “Event Title” and choose from four font options. Choose the date and time, select the location, and add a description. Choose a separate host name if desired. Apple also offers four font options for extra style.

‎You must complete those forms in order to receive an invitation, but Invites also has two additional capabilities that are unique to Apple software. Guests can contribute to and view a shared photo album you create by tapping on “Create Album,” both during and after the event. You can input a different name under Album Name and select “Done” to save your changes; however, the album name will be used as the event name.

‎To create a shared playlist for guests to add songs to before and during an event, select an existing or create a new one.

‎To preview your invitation to guests, tap on “Preview” in the top right corner and then “Next” to begin inviting guests.

‎How to send out invitations to an event using Apple Invites

‎You can begin distributing your event invite to your attendees in a few different ways as soon as it is created. You can invite specific individuals from your contact list or send the invitation as a public link. To begin sending your invitation, touch on Invite Guests inside of it.

‎To send an invitation, tap on the Messages or Mail icons, share it through any app in your iOS share sheet, or copy it to your clipboard.

‎Apple invites allow you to send a unique one-time link to individual guests by selecting “Choose a Guest” and sharing it through Messages, Mail, or the iOS share sheet.

‎How to send a note to guests of an Apple Invites event

‎To update guests or remind them of event details, send a note via the Apple Invites app by tapping “Send a Note” within the invitation.

‎How to delete an Apple Invites event

‎Selecting the event and then selecting the three-dot menu in the upper right corner will allow you to remove it if necessary. Scroll down and select “Event Settings,” then select “Delete Event.” To confirm deleting the event, select “Delete Event.”
